Hi everyone,

I am a chronic Wilbur Smith fan. I have been faithfully reading his books since A Falcon Flies was released and have managed to read all of his books except Goldmine, Eagle in the Sky and The Quest. Thanks to the creators of this site. I look forward to exploring.

Another Canadian. Actually, I surprised there aren't more of us on this site. It's winter here and some days all you can do is sit in your igloo and read Smith books. Wilbur's descriptions of the warm African sun are especially appealing in January.

I don't know about the rest of England, but London has been rather warm (VERY tolerable temperature), considering it's January. :D

It's not really that cold. The city I live in is on the same latitude as San Francisco so our summers are warm and winters are cold. Spring and fall are the best seasons to visit. The point I was making is that I have always enjoyed Wilbur's descriptions of the desert. the jungle and the veld since we don't have much of that landscape here. It's my goal as a retiree to visit Africa one day and see at the least.....Table Mountain.
