First time user of this forum but a long time admirer of his work. My first WS offering was The Leopard Hunts in Darkness which led to reading the other Ballantyne novels then starting from When the Lion Feeds through to Assegai, in order when permitting. I had never been a fan of Ancient Egypt or the 1600's but WS brought me round to those periods of his history I'm glad to say. I even got to meet the man himself in Bath for a signing of Triumph of the Sun, sadly the book was lost though the photo remains.
