New Wilbur Smith fan at age 44. Read Assegai first-then 7th Scroll, River God, Warlock, (started Quest and quit)-then Sunbird, Cry Wolf, The Darkness of the Sun, -Next Up-The Leopard Hunts in Darkness.

IMHO-it was best to read 7th Scroll before River God-because then I could appreciate what Taita was doing in the gaps.

A book that any Wilbur Smith fan should like is "Scouting on Two Continents" by Frederick Russell Burnham. He did Apache scouting, range wars and mining in the Old West and then headed to Rhodesia and was in both Matabele Wars-then did prospecting stuff in the Klondike then scouted in the Boer War.

He worked with Lord Baden-Powell at some point and Powell used him as a model for the Boy Scouts.

Best book I have ever read.

Hi welcome to the forum.

I liked the Egyptian books the best. But out of all the ones I have read, not one has been a bad 'un.
