Hi everybody,I came across this forum while loading Wilbur Smith's books onto my kindle. It looks very interesting and I will have a more thorough look when I have more time. In the meantime, just to introduce myself, I started reading WS's books back in the early seventies when I first went to South Africa, where I lived for about twenty five years on and off. My first was "Shout at the Devil," not his best but a very enjoyable read. Subsequently I read the original Courtney and Ballantyne books and enjoyed them all immensely, then I moved onto the various stand-alone books, and over the years have read just about everything he has written, with the exception of "Those in Peril" due to many poor reviews. I particularly enjoy the Egyptian novels, but I think he is at his best when he writes about southern Africa. I look forward to some interesting opinions and discussions on this forum.
