Tribute To Website Moniters Who Control Spam

Number one and formost,I really enjoy THE WILBUR SMITH DISCUSSION FORUM.I belong to a few forums about books and reading. The forums give me an outlet to express myself a little about the books I read.I really do not know for sure but my 6th sense tells me that there is not a great deal of money that the Forum owners make from this,I believe they have designed this for the mutual love of reading. The individuals who moniter this must spend a great deal of there time making sure to keep the forum healthy and professional.I so detest the PORN SPAMMERS who infiltrate this space known as a book forum. There really should be extreme laws and penaltys against SMUT Peddlars on the web.Truly I hate it with a passion and wish it could be controlled.Good luck and many thanks to the moniters for working so hard to keep your website clean

Thanks John :) , and just remember everyone - don't click on suspicious looking post titles and definitely not on the links within the posts.

It would be nice if they could be deleted would it not.
I have made comment about some of the trash that apears on the forum now and again.
It really turns me off a fair bit.

Regards.

Thanks John.

The spam thing is partly my fault - the forum software is out of date and needs updating. Unfortunately that's not a simple task and I haven't had the time do look at it.

On the money side of things - the forum costs me money to run; so yes you're correct - I'm not making a lot of money from the forum! I would love to get the forum at break-even point, but that would involve more google ads and that's something I'm reluctant to do.

I delete roughly 10 to 20 of these spam posts a day, i suspect Nefer does the same. Unfortunately we both have jobs (and are in a similar time zone) so we cannot be on the forum 24/7.

It's pretty obvious which posts are spam - titles like "metronidazole topical" or "College teens gone wild" or "Некоммерческий сайт обо всём" are obviously not Wilbur Smith related so just don't open them and hopefully Nefer or I will delete them ASAP.
