Music I'm not embarrassed to admit liking...

I'm not sure if many people are aware of this album, so I'll give it a plug! Radio One's "Live Lounge" collection was released a few months ago:

See here

For those of you not aware of the "Live Lounge", basically lots of top bands go into Radio One and perform 2 tracks - one of their own songs and one "cover". This album is a collection of some of these performances. I haven't bought the album myself yet, but I will be. If you can't be bothered to click on the link, the track list is:

Disc 1

1. Foo Fighters - DOA
2. Arctic Monkeys - Love Machine
3. Snow Patrol - Run
4. The Kooks - Crazy
5. Razorlight - Golden Touch
6. Corinne Bailey Rae - Munich
7. The Automatic - Goldigger
8. The Editors - All Sparks
9. Boy Kill Boy - Maneater
10. Queens Of The Stone Age - No One Knows
11. Embrace - How Come
12. James Blunt - If There's Any Justice
13. Natasha Bedingfield - The Scientist
14. The Kings Of Leon - Molly's Chambers
15. Jamie Cullum - Frontin'
16. Sugababes - Livin' For the Weekend
17. Lemar - I Believe In A Thing Called Love
18. Will Young - Hey Ya
19. Hard Fi - Tied Up Too Tight
20. Oasis - Songbird

Disc 2

1. Coldplay - The Scientist
2. Lily Allen - Smile
3. Keane - With Or Without You
4. K T Tunstall - Other Side Of The World
5. Franz Ferdinand - What You Waiting For

I'm not entirely sure why I started a new thread for this, so feel free to post your favourite albums here!

In complete contrast to ^ but something with African connections:

"Ladysmith Black Mambazo" have been performing for around 40 years. They had been performing for over 20 yrs. in their country of origin, South Africa & were a very successful group. However it was not until Paul Simon and his Graceland album that they were introduced to an international audience. (Taken from one of their CDs.)

For more info. visit http://www.mambazo.com

Their CDs can be purchased from: Amazon UK & USA, Tesco UK & Ebay UK & USA - see links at top of the Forum pages. A lot of you have probably heard their music but not realised who they are. As well as selling 7 million records worldwide, they have performed soundtracks for numberous ads & movies.

NOTE: Their latest CD "Long Walk To Freedom" has received 2 Grammy Award nominations for the Grammy Awards on tomorrow - 11th Feb., '07.

I am not usually into this, but recently, I started listening to The Very Best of Euphoric Dance - Breakdown... and I actually like it! This is very surprising for someone who usually hates dance music, but it was very easy to listen to.

Here's a link to the album on Play.com: http://www.play.com/Music/CD/4-/3299303/The_Very_Best_Of_Euphoric_Dance_Breakdown/Product.html

Oh dear, this is a killer type thread for a music fan!

Fav album, hmm? I have a couple:

Jason Mraz - Live at the Eagles Ballroom
Robbie Williams - Swing When You're Winning
Mika - Life in Cartoon Motion ()
Harry-Gregson Williams - Kingdom of Heaven Soundtrack, Spy Game Soundtrack

Thats a random sampling - there's a LOT more!! I actually enjoy all the cd's I buy - haven't bought a cd I haven't loved to bits!

hehe Mika :)

My fave album at the moment is How To Save A Life by The Fray, but I am dying to get a hold of those 10 Mika songs!
