I've Gotta Try this before I Die

Postby Son of the Silver Fox » Mon Feb 05, 2007 7:18 pm

I believe that in each of us lies the spirit of adventure, and we all have things we want to try.
I've been lucky enough to do a few of the things on my list.
I still haven't done a bunch of stuff (gotta roll the dice with the Devil).
I can tell you can not get a better rush than free falling 12,000 ft.

What must you get around to trying?
What stuff is on your list?

I have to disagree. There is a better rush than free-falling from 12,00 feet. Try free-falling from 14,000 feet.

I went sky-diving last year, it was at the top of my list of things I wanted to do. Amazing.

This year I'm saving for when my fave band tours, I'm kind of obsessed with them and I'll be travelling around Australia and going to every show they do. Should be at least half a dozen concerts.

After that, I'm sure I'll find something else to focus on.

Lotus you're right. I also jumped from 14,000 feet but my freefall was 12,000 ft.
Funny story,
The flight before mine landed as I was walking to the flightline.
A Guy with a video camera was asking a new skydiver what he thought of his jump.

"Awesome man..Awesome!" the new skydiver warbeled in a broken voice.

I laughed and when my jumpmaster looked over at me I said
"What a dork."
After the jump, when I was back on the ground, my jumpmaster asked me what I thought.

in a broken voice I warbled "Awesome man..Awesome!"

Wow, that's a rather noble gift, that last one

Before I die, I want to have written a book series, and to have been in a successful band, playing guitar. Just something to help me be remembered, as I don't want to be forgotten after I die :?
