Since I brought up Tintin to the table. I thought to ask about Asterix. Anther of the tent poles of European comic strips.

Any fans out there?

Definitely! i have not read the comics in years, but I LOVED them as a child. I liked Obelix, he was funny. And that harp-playing guy (or was it a lyre)... cant remember his name.
When i was around 7, i once borrowed some comics from a family friend and was so excited, i accidentally tore a few pages. My mother then confiscated them from me and i was sorely disappointed. But later on, i was able to borrow from the local library. :)

The bards name was "cacofonix" I love the way the names were all plays on words or phrases.
like Getafix = Get a fix
Vitalstatisix = Vital Statistics
unhygenix = unhygienic ( funny for someone who sells rotten fish)

Great stories there are still some I have never read too
