I just realised I haven't posted in this thread yet :o

Well the name Rivaan came from a story I was writing once. I came up with Rivaan as the name for the main character and it's stuck, even though the story hasn't. :(

My previous username on this forum was Meren, and that was because Meren is one of my favourite characters from WS's books!

Mines pretty boring. Just my nickname. Been in the family for generations. Although i must say whenever im playing fantasy sports on the internet now i always call my team the Ballantyne Scouts. None of my friends have the faintest clue why which makes it pretty cool

On a side note with people taking names out of the egyptian books, what was the name given to the bow that Taita made for Tanus? I know it had a name but I cant remember. sorry for going OT.

Hey, Mat, if you keep changing your "Level Name" you might have to start another thread i.e. "What does your Level Title mean"?.

I noticed your 'new' level a while back but didn't get around to posting anything about it. Not being fluent in Latin, I had to google/translate it.

It wouldn't be much fun though as I'm the only one that can change my "level" (rank) on a whim...

I must get a new avatar sorted tho, very boring at the moment :)

Ps...has anyone noticed the irony of the quote in my sig?

Good eyes, Ada. I didn't even notice Matt's ranking - hilarious, BTW!

And as for the sig irony, Matt, I blame the late hour for not getting it :(

Heh, the irony is that we would fit into the last category (small minds), since we are all members of a forum that focuses on discussing a person (Wilbur Smith).

Exactly! I think it's a great quote and I mostly agree with the sentiment (most people today are more interested in Britney Spears than current affairs), but I couldn't help but smile when I realised that we would fit into the last category!

Well, I'd be a bit of a dill wouldn't I? I misread your question and thought you meant your level title.

Re us having small minds: The ones interested in Britney Spears talk a lot about the dingbat. However, members of this forum rarely talk about Wilbur himself. We discuss what he writes about and I'm inclined to think we therefore fit into the "Average" section as his books are about events. OK, they're events occurring in other people's lives, but 'events' nevertheless!

I totally agree with your idea Ada!

And since I'm now discussing an idea, that would make me a great mind...

My mother has called me her "little bluebird of happiness" since the day I was born. I was not expected to live and have had major operations on my heart. I was literally blue at birth and remained a blue child, small and underformed, untill 1976, when I had my surgeries.

She said that I was small, delicate and blue and yet I could fill the room with my smile. Hence, Bluebird
