World Without End

Obviously, we are all readers here. So you will know what I mean when I say....the book was so good that I didn't want it to end. Ken Follett's - Pillars of the Earth is that book. All 1000 pages of it. You are so in touch with the characters that you miss them when you have finished the book. Even "Opray" agrees. She added it to her list of must reads. Members here, Penitent and nebogatoff have expressed their praise.
And now we have World Without End - Follett's sequel. You won't be dissappointed.

Matt - The stories take place in a medieval town called Knightsbridge inspired by York and it's cathedral and it's streets like the shambles. Thought you might be interested.

WWE's a great book. Realisltically it could have ended after page 300, 600 or 900, but still and all, I'm glad it didn't.

I've just bought "Pillars" and "World" from Amazon...I hope they are as good as everyone says!

Follett does not include a character list in either book. You won't need one for Pillars. But when I started readng World Without End I made up my own family tree. Can share when you get there.

I actually finished it yesterday! I'm currently on holiday sunning myself so I had a nice uninterrupted 3 days to finish it :)

I liked it, it's not one of my favourite books - the plot line is a little boring for my taste, but Follet is a great writer. I'm looking forward to reading the follow up and more of his books. I'll write a better review when I'm back home - currently sat in an internet cafe that is a converted toilet! Nice
