But the reason why I am putting his name forward here is his crusades trilogy about Arm Magnusson and the founding of Sweden (and I'm not even swedish). It's 3 amazing books (well four since he wrote a follow up) that I utterly enjoyed, and would recommend for anyone who's interested in history and a good novel...
