I was extremely interested in Bryce Courtenay after reading all of Wilbur Smiths books.I needed to try to find something to replace the experience and I knew this was going to be difficult.Bryce Courtenay caught my attention as an undoubted master of story telling and in a similar genre as Wilbur Smith,he has a following that is equal to none.Kelly,my wife whom is a lifelong reader quickly got four of Courtenays books to read. The first being The Power of One,and the others being the the Austrailian Triology.I was very excited to read and decided I would read The Power of One first and then I would read the Triology.Read the Power of One and that was it,could not continue on with the rest of them.As much as I realize the quality and sincerety of the Power of One - I simply did not enjoy it that much,I found it somewhat boring hence did manage to finish it.Someday,I may give Bryce Courtenay another go - but after reading the Power of One I am on hold
