Following the enjoyment of the Spartacus series on TV (a STARZ production), I thought I'd try his book on the same subject.

Not very impressed (have I been spoiled by WS?) it is written as if it was set today, not the Roman speak of those times, and he used the word 'toilet'! Baring in mind this is set about 74 BC, the word 'toilet' was introduced in to the English language until about 1530. I might be being picky, but that is an obvious mistake any author should not make.

He has another two books, I won't be reading them though.
