He has written a lot of good stuff. But he of course achieved immortality for creating Sherlock Holmes. I have the complete Sherlock Holmes works. Four novels and about 60 short stories. It has taken me five years to read thru all, picking them up here and there in between other books. These tales were written over a century ago and they are relevant still today. If you are looking for something entertaining and intelligent this is as good as it gets.
