James Rollins started very good. Action, adventure with no excuses. His first efforts “Subterranean”, “Ice Hunt”, “Excavation”, “Amazonia” and my favorite “Deep Fathom” are all good.
Unfortunately, lately he is content with becoming a Dan Brown copycat and titles like “Sandstorm” or “Map of Bones” are not that hot.

He also reminds in his latest titles to Matt Reilly. But his descriptive powers are at least a notch up of “BLAM”!!! and RAT-TAT-TAT-TAT… to describe explosions and gun fire.

If you don't mind straight action, with very little character development and some scientific background you should enjoy some of the titles of my first list. I know I did!
