How to pronounce Taita

Apologies if this has already been covered but its something that has bugged me for years and wanted to know if any of you know the proper pronunciation of Taita

In my mind when reading I read it as Tay-ee-ta

Does anyone know if this is right or what it's ment to be or how u read it

I think it's probably Tah-ee-ta tedd

MY own personal inner voice pronounces it "tie-tah", although I think it's probably intended to sound as "tay-tah".

Yes Matbow - but WS is from southern Africa and he HAS to pronounce TAH as TIE - it's in the blood, The proper pronunciation is TAH - heh!heh!heh!
