Is there any actual evidence of a carthegenian presence in ancient sub sahaan africa? Is there any mythology or legend of an actual city like opet?

Also, while more obscure.... the gri lion, WS indicates it is similar to what he (ben Kazim) knows as a "giant Lynx" despite my searching, i am having a heck of a time locating any information on the species.
