I Liked this book and thought that it had tremendous potential to be a great movie, read it about 20 years ago.
Who would you have cast as the main Characters?

For me they would have been Nick Holte, Nigel Havers and that bird who was Supermans Girlfriend.
Of course this was from 20 years ago, so obviously they could not do them now

I agree. Cry Wolf is a tremendous work and a very engrossing novel. I am thoroughly enjoying reading it.

I would cast: (if the film came out shortly after the book)

Jake Barton - James Caan
Gareth Swales - Edward Fox
Vicky Camberwell - Stefanie Powers
Count Aldo Belli - Maximilian Schell

This is actually my least favourite of Smith's novels. I found it very difficult to read and the comedy element just not at all funny.

Cry Wolf was a very good book.I enjoyed it stem to stern. The character of Count Aldo Belli was something else.I loved Cry Wolf it was a different take on characters but Wilbur got a big reaction from me describeing Count Aldo Belli the pomous arrogant, incompetent individiual that he was.The Count made the book for me

My sentiments exactly. I've read 14 so far and this is the first one I didn't love. I am having a very difficult time finishing this book and it's a good thing this wasn't the first Wilbur Smith book I read or I wouldn't have been back.

The "comedy" leaves allot to be desired.
