Poll: How much do u like "The Eye of the Tiger"?

I liked The Eye Of The Tiger a lot. It's one of my most favourite WS novels.

I enjoyed it because it's a great modern-day treasure-hunt story, and also because the hero is very engaging.

First W/S book i read and whilst sitting on a beach in Sri Lanka. Still one of my favourites, i owe a lot to that book.

I've just started reading this book after picking it up from the library this lunch time.

Quite suprised to see it's written in the 1st person...it always takes me while to adapt to reading this style. Will post my thoughts when I've finished it.

Even though the vote was closed (it's not anymore) I've given this book a 7.

I really enjoyed reading it, but it was a tad predictable in places. A lot better than some of his other standalones, but not in the same league as most of the Courtneys.

For me it was the first WS book I read. My dad has every book to date and was always telling me I should read them, but I don't respond well to nagging so I never did. But then one day I was looking for something to read in the bath and I thought 'why not?'.
Picked up EOTT and had a go.
Not stopped on WS since then. So it ranks quite highly on my WS list.
Always thought it would make a great film. I think Michael Clarke Duncan was put on this earth to play Chubby (and possibly Mrs Chubby albeit in a wig) perhaps Clive Owen as Harry? Brittany Murphy as Lorna Paige? Keira Knightley as Sherry North?

the "eye of the tiger" is a great book. read it recently. I being an Indian was amazed by the Indian connection that Wilbur brings in. The world war time how the tiger throne is stolen and all.

You know what, this book could be a great film if it was done exactly like the book.
I found that the twist in the end was really good and unexpected

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I completed it in a few days. The visions of tropical islands and seas bluer than the skies which arose from this book are what really captivated me. The interaction between the characters, especially whilst dwelling in the caves during their seach for the sunken treasure was really engossing and added spirit to the book's atmosphere. I was really shocked by the sudden twist at the very end. Well done Wilbur.

I give this book a 10. Deinitely recommended.

This is a fun read, a treasure hunt/adventure set an exotic location with a monster protecting it and a bad guy trying to get it before the good guy there is also a girl. this is a formula that all WS fans have seen before and enjoyed. check this out:

EOTT is the fifth WS book that I have read (Actually a quarter of the way through at the mo) and I have to say that it shaping up to be just as good as the others that I have read.

I read my first WS book (Birds of prey) in February whilst on holiday and became hooked. I have amassed the vast majority of his other books and aim to read all the stand alone books before moving back to the Courtneys.

My favouirite S.O so far has been The Diamond Hunters and I fully expect EOTT to equal it.

I think this is one of his best stand alone novels. Like another poster said classic modern treasure hunt. I like strong characters even if they lack much depth. I think that's one of the reasons I like Wilbur Smith so much.
