The movie
The Witches of Eastwick did not do the book "justice", it redeemed it! I had watched this movie about 3 or 4 times and so decided to read the book it was based on. How Hollywood/screenwriters managed to produce such a great film from such a bloody awful book absolutely amazes me. Any relationship between the book and the movie is purely accidental and for once it's a case of "thank God"! I'll certainly never read anything by John Updike again and I still can't believe I read as much of it as I did - I think I finished it - I can't remember - my brain has filed that in the recycling bin and some one's emptied it!
(I thought I had already commented on this book and it's film before but I can't find it here and the search function won't help me.)
Edit: ^ found it in Other Authors>Least Favorite Book>
HereApparently I did finish it!
