Favourite Movie of all time

Postby delby » Tue Feb 27, 2007 12:27 pm

I just watched both of those films again for comparison and although I love anthony hopkins lecter I hknow what u mean Brian Cox who plays Lecter in Manhunter gives me chills I think its his voice that does it .
It would have been interesting to see how he would have done in lambs and hannibal.
Red Dragon stays truer to the book but the ending of manhunter is far better . Will Peterson who plays graham was not allowed to see Tom Noonan(Dolarhyde) who is actually a good lookin dude In his charachter or makeup until they filmed the scene so his reaction is quite real

Noonnan is a good lookin bloke? he looks freaky to me, i think that was another plus for the film. The killer in Red Dragon just doesn't suit the part. Noonnan was superb. I watched the extra's on the DVD and also noticed Noonan was kept apart from the other actors on the set. The director, m.mann did the business.

I also love the music they chose for the movie. Music can sometimes make a good movie a great movie for me

Great books :!: Thomas Harris is a SMART scary writer and I will buy Hanibal Rising when it goes into paperback.
Francis Dolarhyde is a character that you can not forget, the Robin Williams movie One Hour Photo was an attempted rip off of this plot.

back on the subject does anyone else love Office Space?

Office Space? It appears to have a wide fan base in the States. I thought it was just OK. I have a friend that owns the DVD and have watch it several times. For me I think once is more than enough

My all time favourite movie is Titanic directed by James Cameron presents a fictional love story on the historic Titanic. The plot is simple, uncomplicated and not for those who like plots, stirring occasionally and keep you in tension. End of the film may have worked within a few minutes early in the film but a love story is interesting.

AVITAR - was that not the most amazing video journey you have ever taken - watched it in my family room with my 50 inch plasma and surround sound system ( not in 3D ) - AND Avitar wins it hands down

I love the "big" movies, like Lord of the Rings and Avatar, but for me my favourite movie will always be Groundhog Day.
