That would be Elwood Blue of "The Blues Brothers"

Movie Quotes!!!

^Were The Blues Brothers only popular in the US & here? People still dress up as the Blues Brothers for Fancy Dress parties here so I thought some one would get it much sooner!

Answer to SotSF is COOL HAND LUKE and another classic - an oldie but a goldie. I love that quote and ever since I saw the movie have used it when appropriate & I try to imitate the accent although not too successfully as it's a man who says it.

Next.... (a long one (i.e. the run up to it) as it might not be well known)

"We all have these terrible stories to get over"
"It's not true. Some of us have great stories. Pretty stories that take place at lakes with boats and friends and noodle salad. Just no one in this car. But a lot of people. That's their story. Good times, noodle salad. What makes it so hard is not that you had it bad - but that you're that pissed that so many others had it good."

^ No guessers? OK, a clue.

Jack Nicholson plays the character who says the second part of the quote.

Ok, here is one from a personal favorite:

"O Captain, my Captain. Who knows where that comes from? Anybody? Not a clue? It's from a poem by Walt Whitman about Mr. Abraham Lincoln. Now in this class you can either call me Mr. Keating, or if you're slightly more daring, O Captain my Captain. "
