Oscar Time

The Academy Awards are three weeks away. I thought it would be a good idea to post the nominees in the main categories and get your opinions on who is going to win and who should win. Those type of things… Let’s see how it goes. Here are the nominees:

I vote for Babel, because I saw it, Brad Pitt's in it, and its really good!

It is the first time a fellow Spanish gets nominated for best actress. I would live to see Penelope Cruz get it; but I believe Hellen Mirren for "The Queen" has all the tickets on this one.

I saw The Queen and Helen mirren was terrific.
Little Miss Sunshine was the funniest movie I saw this year, and Alan Arkin was a riot as the perverted grandfather.
didn't see any others.

I will second that, i think she is one hell of a good actress.

Well, the Oscars are done. If you watched it, can you comment in any particular award or moment that was surprising or significant for you?

To me the highlight was to have three pillars of modern filmmaking (Coppola, Lucas and Spielberg) on stage handing out the Best Director award to Martin Scorsese. I just wonder if they look at the envelope in advance to prepare that one…
