I am two books behind schedule to reach 52 this year. Hoping to be able to catch up over the rest of the year as I have a 2 week beach vacation coming up soon!

I knocked out 4 books over the last 2 weeks but I am still about 4 behind track for reaching 52 this year. I may have to 'cheat' and put some short stories in the mix to balance out those beastly epic books I tend to read!

Haha, maybe some Roald Dahl? Very funny and interesting short stories. Although they tend to be bundled with 10 of them into one book, so I'm not sure if that will help you cheat ;)

Fail :(

I finished 50 books, the last one on New Years eve. Since there wasn't a prize I decided not to bother we the short stories!

Without really trying, I've made it to 52 books this year already. My trick was that I found a series of 25+ books (The Bolitho Series by Alexander Kent) that are short (about 250 pages) and very easy to read; I knocked out 2 of these a week.

Without even planning it, my 52nd book was none other than Desert God!

52 Desert God
51 Edge of Eternity: Book Three of The Century Trilogy
50 Sword of Honor (Bolitho 23)
49 Wars of the Roses: Stormbird (War of the Roses Book 1)
48 Cross of St George: Volume 22 (The Bolitho Novels)
47 For My Country's Freedom: Volume 21 (The Bolitho Novels)
46 The Darkening Sea: Volume 20 (The Bolitho Novels)
45 Days of Rage: A Pike Logan Thriller
44 The Heist: A Novel (Gabriel Allon Book 14)
43 Beyond the Reef: Volume 19 (The Bolitho Novels)
42 The Only Victor: Volume 18 (The Bolitho Novels)
41 Honour This Day: Volume 17 (The Bolitho Novels)
40 Colours Aloft!: Volume 16 (The Bolitho Novels)
39 Act of War: A Thriller
38 A Tradition of Victory: Volume 14 (The Bolitho Novels)
37 The Inshore Squadron: Volume 13 (The Bolitho Novels)
36 Signal-Close Action!: Volume 12 (The Bolitho Novels)
35 The Flag Captain: Volume 11 (The Bolitho Novels)
34 Enemy in Sight!: Volume 10 (The Bolitho Novels)
33 Form Line of Battle!: Volume 9 (The Bolitho Novels)
32 With All Despatch: Volume 8 (The Bolitho Novels)
31 Passage to Mutiny: Volume 7 (The Bolitho Novels)
30 Command a King's Ship: Volume 6 (The Bolitho Novels)
29 To Glory We Steer: Volume 5 (The Bolitho Novels)
28 Sloop of War: Volume 4 (The Bolitho Novels)
27 In Gallant Company: Volume 3 (The Bolitho Novels)
26 Stand Into Danger: Volume 2 (The Bolitho Novels)
25 Band of Brothers
24 Midshipman Bolitho and the Avenger
23 Richard Bolitho, Midshipman
22 The Wise Man's Fear: The Kingkiller Chronicle: Day Two
21 The Name of the Wind
20 Full Assault Mode: A Delta Force Novel
19 Troy Fall of Kings
18 Troy Shield of Thunder
17 Troy Lord of the Silver Bow
16 Mind Prey
15 Night Prey
14 Winter Prey
13 Shall We Tell the President?
12 Sphere of Influence
11 The Blood of Gods: A Novel of Rome (Emperor)
10 Be Careful What You Wish For (The Clifton Chronicles)
9 Sign of the Cross
8 The Signature of All Things: A Novel
