Well apart from calling it football, and not soccer... I am looking forward to the world cup this year! :D

I don't support a single team because where's the fun in that if they get knocked out? I support England, because that's where I come from. I also support Brazil because I admire their skill. But the ones I like best are Japan, after their inspiring performance in the 2002 cup, held in their country as well as South Korea. They did quite well after their abysmal performance in the 1998 world cup.

So yes. I do follow it and I want Japan to win, lol.

Seeing as Ireland didn't qualify I'm supporting Ivory Coast as their flag has the same colours as the Irish one. Plus they have some decent players like Drogba, Toure and Eboue. Also come on Trinidad & Tobago.

whether I like or not, I have to follow. Two of the stadiums are round the corner and my company is involved in the organizazion of the cup. Apart from that I don't mind so much, but watch some games

This June is something that I've been waiting for two long years! Meaning since last European Championships. Since Finland has never qualified to any championships, I'm supporting Italy. Reason is that I just like Italy in General, and I also like many players in their team. Bummer though that AC Milan didn't make it to the UCL final yesterday...

WSI is right Mat, why did you use that one when you could have used one like this....

Image
While a tiger eyed its prey and an eagle raged in a thunderous sky a river of darkness fell upon a burning sun and the wolf cried tis a time to die, thus did the angels weep as power and triumph in those golden eyes did creep.

i'd be amazed if Australia beat Brazil! I think the best 2 teams so far have been Argentina (obviously) and Spain. England have been very poor and won''t get past the Quarters.

Okay I felt quite sheepish about this but at work (in the same building) there's a gym with a lounge - bar style - and I ended up going down to watch the Paraguay vs. Sweden game during my lunch break. Let's just say I was the only chick there with a whole bunch of business men ranging from old to middle aged. Very odd... felt like I couldn't cheer for my team... it was a good game though.

At least you guys can watch the football at a reasonable time, the games are on at 1 and 2 in the morning here! LAME! It's a good thing the holidays are coming up, bring on the late nights!

ps. Note that I haven't mentioned Australia's sad loss to Brazil........

Oh well, all we have to do is beat Croatia or at least draw with them....it could happen!

Yeah I agree with Argentina doing very well so far, and for some reason, whenever I see the orange Netherlands jersey I start cheering...yay for the Netherlands! lol
