Did a pub quiz last sunday and one round was on Anagrams, did my bloody head in. see if u can get any of these famous people....and try not to cheat by lookin on the net.

Oooh! Goody! I like these - used to do cryptic crosswords - wasn't particularly good at them but loved trying anyway. (Haven't done one since I gave up smoking 2 years ago. Also haven't played any video games since. Strange that - must have used the stupid things as concentration sticks!)

John R - The 4th has caused a bit of :-k

. Did you/your group solve it when you did the Pub quiz?

If no one has got it in a couple of days, will you give us a clue?

Also, (since you have no more), when it has been solved, is any one interested in my or maybe some other Forum Members also, making up some Anagrams from some of WS's characters & maybe some places/towns - all from his novels :?:

Actually, we could have some from anywhere - if some one has a source. (As long as there is a theme/group - otherwise it becomes too hard e.g. John's "GREY MAN" could also have been GERMANY!)

As for the 4th one, I'll give it a day or 2 then i will fire some clues.

We got it in the quiz, but only just. 5 of us in the team.

i like the idea about making anagrams for wilbur characters. don't think i'd be very good at coming up with any though.
