Loving Fall Out Boy's "Thanks for the Memories" at the moment, great pop rock track!

How about Maroon5's latest, Makes me Wonder? I've only heard it twice, but I love it!

Can't wait for them to go on tour!

:D Thanks, I had to trim down the original picture to fit the avatar restrictions, but I like this one better than the original painting!

Well this isn't exactly new music, but I didn't want to make another thread for this.

Who here is into metal? :)

Even if you're not, and want to check it out, I suggest you do so. There are quite a few good bands (understatement!). I'd recommend listening to the likes of Judas Priest (songs like Breaking the Law, and You've got Another Thing Comin'), Metallica (songs like Enter Sandman, and Master of Puppets), and/or KISS (something like Detroit Rock City, although they have a lot of songs that are good!). Then there are other songs like Quite Riot's Metal Health, Twisted Sister's I Wanna Rock, and White Zombie's Thunder Kiss '65. Ah, there's too many to mention! :D

Anyway, it's just a suggestion. Check them out if you want.

Kate and I love old rock stuff like Blue Oyster Cult (Don't Fear the Reaper, Burnin' For You), Bad Company (Movin' On, Bad Company), Creedence Clearwater Revival (Bad Moon Rising) , Styx (Renegade) etc. Metallica is cool, I like Enter Sandman and KISS is always good :) :)

I think the music that was classed as metal in the 70s and 80s isn't nearly as loud as half the "rock" bands like Korn or whatever. I love 70s and 80s metal, but I hate present day metal rock.

Heh, yes I prefer Heavy/Thrash (Metallica, etc.), Groove (Pantera, and others.), and Glam (KISS, Alice Cooper, etc.) metal.

I don't really like Nu Metal (Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park), even though that's what brought me into the genre!

The old stuff is definitely better than the new :)
The four points of the compass be logic, knowledge, wisdom, and the unknown.
Some do bow in that final direction. Others advance upon it. To bow before the one
is to lose sight of the three. I may submit to the unknown, but never to the unknowable.
The man who bows in that final direction is either a saint or a fool. I have no use for either.
